Khao Yai 2025: A Trip of Firsts, Connection, and Shared Moments
In December, the teams from TGC Asia and e-tgcinsure came together for a short retreat in Khao Yai — a chance to step away from daily routines, reconnect as colleagues, and experience something different together.
For many, the trip marked a series of firsts.
Some rode bicycles for the first time.
Some tried horseback riding for the first time.
Some were visiting Thailand for the very first time — and for a few, it was even their first time on an aeroplane.
The team also visited a local vineyard, where we saw grapes hanging from the vines and learned more about the winemaking process — a refreshing change of pace and a chance to experience something new together.
There were plenty of light-hearted moments along the way. Some met each other in person for the first time, some tried making TikToks for the first time, and many joined in for karaoke on the bus. From sunflower fields to scenic views, we took countless photos and enjoyed the amenities offered by the hotel, making the most of the time away.
While the trip was relaxed and fun, it also served an important purpose. Stepping away from emails and deadlines allowed the team to reconnect beyond work roles, strengthen relationships, and gain fresh perspective.
The Khao Yai retreat was a reminder that strong teams are built not only through meetings and deliverables, but through shared experiences, openness, and time spent together.
As we return to work, we do so refreshed, better connected, and ready to move forward together.
